Wade Schalm

Wade has been working with trees since the early 1980’s where he selectively logged a woodlot on the farm where he was raised. Since then Wade gained experience in many fields such as oil & gas, utility vegetation work as well as being a member of the Canadian Armed Forces, but has always returned to his passion in forestry. Today Wade employs his combined skills to provide the best service possible.

As a certified BC Faller, Faller Supervisor/Bullbucker and Arborist/Tree Specialist, Wade meets any challenge. He has assisted the Ministry of Transportation and Highways in building a hazard tree program, arranged and managed crews for independent power suppliers including BC Hydro. Wade has worked from the rugged BC Coast as a production faller and supervisor cutting blocks, road right of way and construction of Heli-pads in remote areas to the northern regions of Alberta where he helped fight the on going Mountain Pine Beetle Epidemic.

Wade is currently assisting with a project in the jungles of Panama as a Faller, Supervisor and Arborist training the local workforce in safe, effective and efficient tree work.
