Wade Schalm

As a Certified BC Faller, Faller Supervisor-Bullbucker and Arborist Tree Specialist, Wade is skilled in all tree-related challenges. He began working with trees in the early 1980’s when he selectively logged a woodlot on his family farm in the Cariboo. He went on to work as a faller, a Level 3 first aid medic, a tree planter, a member of the Canadian Armed Forces, and a machinery operator for oil & gas, but he kept coming back to his passion for forestry.

Since then Wade has gained decades of experience throughout BC with specialty tree services and tree removal in Kamloops, Barriere, Clearwater, Merritt, Lillooet, and the Shuswap. In addition to residential tree services, Wade has assisted the Ministry of Transportation with building a hazard tree program, has provided work crews and utility arborists for power suppliers including BC Hydro, and has developed partnerships with interior First Nations bands. He has worked on the rugged BC Coast as a production faller-supervisor, in the BC interior with silviculture site-prep, and in northern Alberta fighting the ongoing Mountain Pine Beetle Epidemic. He has also been working in the jungles of Panama as a Danger-Tree Climber, training the local workforce in safe environmentally-responsible tree maintenance work.

Now based in Clearwater, BC, Wade employs these combined skills to provide the best possible service for safe production falling and residential tree services.
